Are you a highly skilled CNC Milling 5-Axis Setter/Operator with experience in precision engineering? Do you have expertise in multi-pallet machining, ideally working with Matsuura machines? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a leading engineering team producing high-precision components.
The Role
- Setting and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines, working with multi-pallet systems
- Reading, interpreting, and communicating technical drawings to ensure precise manufacturing
- Modifying and editing CNC programs to adjust for material, tooling, or machining conditions
- Operating Fanuc controls and making necessary adjustments to programs and tooling
- Conducting in-process inspections, checking work against drawings and specifications
- Hand-finishing components (de-burring) and performing final quality checks
- Basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and coolant management
- Logging work and completing route cards, ensuring all documentation is accurate
- Collaborating with your team and supervisor to meet production deadlines
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities, helping to refine processes for greater efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years’ experience in a CNC milling setter/operator role
- Apprenticeship-trained (preferred) or equivalent experience in a high-precision environment
- Experience with 5-axis CNC machining, ideally with multi-pallet machines (Matsuura preferred)
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and Fanuc controls
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring work meets exacting quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with PC fluency for logging work
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement
What’s On Offer
