Boat Yard Assistant

JOB TITLE: Boatyard Assistant START DATE: End of March 2025 (seasonal until end of October 2025 with the possibility of becoming permanent). WORKING PATTERN: * 32 hours per week * During the season March – November – 4 days starting at 8am (Tuesday – Saturday – rota issued 10 days in advance) * Off season – 4 days – Monday – Thursday Main Responsibilities: * Washing Boats * Refuelling Boats * Emptying of Black Water * Moving boats around the yard * Recording the above on the computer system Other Responsibilities may include: * Helping keep the yard tidy * Basic maintenance tasks * Trash removal * Safety Compliance Future opportunities: * Assisting in repairs including fibre glass, wood and metal structures. * Install and maintain transom mounted equipment such as swim platforms and ladders. * Leak testing and repairs. * Instruction to customers. * Slinger/Banksman training * Bike Mechanic
