ROLE: Building Surveyor LOCATION: Newport, Wales Job Summary for a Building Surveyor Blue Water Recruitment are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to support a growing business by managing surveys, scoping works, and ensuring cost-effective project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong undersanding of building maintenance, commercial awareness and the ability to work flexibly across mulitple projects. Key Responsibilities of a Building Surveyor – Conduct site visits and surveys to scope repair and planned works. – Prepare quotations for larger project and assess commercial viability. – Review schedules of rates and ensure cost-effective project execution. – Measure and order materials to maximise vale and efficiency. – Support the finance team with supplier negotiations and cost control. – Assist directors with tenders and business growth initiatives. – Travel as neeeded to cost and survey projects. – Contribute ideas and expertise to improve processes and business growth. Requirements for for a Building Surveyor – Strong knowledge of building maintenance and constructio. – Experience in surveying, cost estimation, and procurement. – Commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances. – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and maintenance software. – Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. – Full UK Driving license and willingness to travel when required.
