Community Occupational Therapist

Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their service on a locum basis initially.
You’ll be responsible for completing moving and handling assessments, functional occupational therapy assessments, single handed care and reablement.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
- Complete moving and handling assessments, ensuring appropriate techniques and equipment are identified to support clients’ needs.
- Assess clients for single-handed care solutions, promoting independence and reducing reliance on caregivers.
- Develop and implement reablement plans aimed at improving clients’ independence in daily living activities.
Requirements:
- Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
- Have post qualification experience in health or social care settings.
