Community Occupational Therapist

Full time locum contract

30p/h (potentially negotiable depending on experience)

Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their service on a locum basis initially.

You’ll be responsible for completing moving and handling assessments, functional occupational therapy assessments, single handed care and reablement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
  • Complete moving and handling assessments, ensuring appropriate techniques and equipment are identified to support clients’ needs.
  • Assess clients for single-handed care solutions, promoting independence and reducing reliance on caregivers.
  • Develop and implement reablement plans aimed at improving clients’ independence in daily living activities.

Requirements:

  • Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Have post qualification experience in health or social care settings.
