As a Group Accountant, you will contribute to the financial success and growth of the company by ensuring accurate financial reporting to support decision making, planning, and control processes. Under direction of the Finance Director, and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, the successful applicant will have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret financial data effectively, and the capacity to communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders within and outside the organization.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

• Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Consolidate and analyze financial reports for all businesses
  • Perform month-end close procedures and submit financial information to the senior leadership team and parent company
  • Regular financial reporting on key strategic areas such as sales, cashflow and functional activities
  • Generate periodic ad hoc financial reports.
• Financial Planning and Control
  • Prepare and co-ordinate forecasts and budget for the business group
  • Responsible for cost tracking actual results against forecasts and budget including sales, cost variances, and fixed and variable expenses.
• Compliance and Documentation
  • Act as a Sarbanes Oxley coordinator to ensure required controls and processes are in place, and to complete regular control testing
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Assist with cross-training, development, and continual improvement of company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department and organization.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

• Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of post qualification accounting experience in a senior accounting role
• Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Prior experience in and understanding of accounting for a manufacturing company
  • Financial Consolidation, Budgeting and planning experience is a plus
  • Effective organizational skills, including following up on his/her own needed actions
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including data management
  • OneStream, Hyperion and ERP experience is a plus
  • Adept problem-solving skills and analytical ability
• Education & Certifications
  • Membership of an appropriate professional association; CIMA/ACCA/ACA

Travel & Working Environment

• Onsite office environment and work from home, 8am-5pm Monday - Friday
• The position may require working occasionally outside normal work hours
• Ad-hoc International Travel as required
