Job Description

East Suffolk Services Limited (ESSL) is responsible for the delivery of a range of operational services including refuse collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance on behalf of East Suffolk Council as well as commercial contracts. If appointed, the successful candidate will become a Non-Executive Director of ESSL and will play an active part in the running of the company.

Your Role

We intend to appoint an independent person to the Board of Directors of East Suffolk Services Limited (ESSL). The company is responsible for various operational services.

What You Will Need

We are looking for an independently minded person with the appropriate expertise to join the Board of Directors. The required key skills and experience include but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge of running or working in a commercial business.
  • Awareness and understanding of operational, customer-focused services.
  • Extensive and recent experience in relevant fields.
  • Commitment to developing sound management and interests of the company.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form good working relationships with other board members and stakeholders.
  • Able to analyse information to form sound judgements and make informed decisions.
