Your role will include:

Provide support and assistance to children & young people in solo provisions in post 16 supported living accommodation

Positively managing challenging behaviour, using de-escalation and diversion.

Support and prompt with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration

Help young people develop and maintain independent living skills
-
Support young people in participating in community activities and social events
-
Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor
-
Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals, completing health and safety checks and reporting any issues to your line manager

Adhering to support plans and risk assessments to ensure young people are safely supported.
Must hold a valid driving licence.

Level 4 Children & Young People or equivalent preferred but not essential

Previous experience working with individuals is preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compassionate and patient demeanour

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures, * GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Referral programme, Shift pattern is 10am-10am the following day and includes sleep-in duties from 11pm-7am. The sleep in is paid at a rate of £60 per night. Full time contracts are based on 10 shifts per month – equal to 160 hours/40 hours per week.
Our provisions are mainly based in the Liverpool area so there is an expectation that you will be able to travel independently to the provision you are allocated.
Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
