Consultant (Psych)

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Doctor (Consultant (Psych) to lead a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) within a Community Mental Health Team. This role involves triaging referrals from GPs and other services, directing patients to the appropriate pathway, and providing advice and guidance to GPs. Role: Consultant (Psych) Location: Lancaster Rate: £150 – £155 per hour Contract Type: Full-Time – 1 year with potential to extend Key Responsibilities (Consultancy: ✔️ Lead the MDT in assessing and managing referrals. ✔️ Ensure patients are appropriately referred, including to the Initial Response Service. ✔️ Provide expert advice and guidance to GPs. Requirements: ✅ Approved Clinician (AC) status – essential. ✅ Experience in community mental health and triage preferred. ✅ Strong leadership and communication skills. ✅ Own transport required.
