Equifind are working with a management consultancy group in London to recruit a Financial Controller. The firm has a strong track record of advising both private and public sector clients on strategy, transformation, and operational improvement.With multiple UK entities and international operations, they’re looking to bring in a Financial Controller to lead and professionalise the finance function as the business continues to scale.This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Finance Director, and taking full ownership of group reporting, financial controls, and team management. You’ll play a central role in shaping the finance function and ensuring the business is well set up for further growth: both organic and through acquisition.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the production of monthly group management accounts, consolidations, and board reportingOwn the year-end process, including audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance (UK and overseas entities)Manage and mentor a small but growing finance teamOversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management across the groupStrengthen internal controls and develop scalable processes and systemsBusiness partner with senior stakeholders on commercial decision-making, pricing, and project profitabilitySupport M&A activity and integration of new entitiesLead on systems development and finance transformation projectsApplication CriteriaQualified accountant (ACA/CA preferred) with a background in auditPrevious experience in a group-level finance role, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environmentStrong consolidation and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights to senior leadershipConfident people manager and mentorComfortable in a hands-on environment and able to drive continuous improvementExperience with international entities or group structures a plusPackage and Benefits:Base salary of £80-90,000 (DOE)Discretionary annual bonus.Employer pension contribution.25 days annual leave.Private health and dental insurance.Plus a host of other great benefits.
