LSE Law School
Professor of Law in the field of Corporate Law, Corporate Finance Law and Corporate Governance
Salary is no less than £103,528 per annum (pay award pending) and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website.
The post holder will hold a Chair in Law and take on a leadership role in corporate law, corporate finance law and corporate governance in the Law School, as well as a leadership role in relation to the Law School generally. The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing world-leading research. The successful applicant will participate in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will be expected to take on senior administrative responsibilities within the Law School and the LSE, as well as mentoring and offering career development support to junior colleagues.
Applications are sought from outstanding candidates with an international reputation in corporate law, corporate finance law, and corporate governance and a substantial body of influential and world-leading publications. Experience of teaching and researching in the fields of securities law and capital markets would also be desirable.
You should have a PhD in law or in a law-related discipline, or equivalent. You should have a track record of producing publications of the highest quality (at least two of which will be world-leading), as well as a clear, well-developed, and viable strategy for outstanding research that will result in further world-leading monographs and articles. You should have a track record of providing leadership in advancing research and teaching, and in effective departmental administration and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Applicants should have a significant track record of excellence in the teaching of corporate law or law-related subjects and a commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students at all levels.
