Job title: Managing Consultant / Tech Director – Aviation
Location: London
A globally operating consultancy advising private investors (including industry sponsors, investment funds, banks and bond investors) on demand, commercial and technical aspects of large and complex transportation and social infrastructure projects.
The aviation practice is highly experienced and offers advisory services across a range of product areas, with particular focus on airport transactions, business optimisation, traffic forecasting, route development and airport economic regulation. Our clients are blue chip, airports and financial institutions, and typically we work at a senior level within client organisations.
Role
We are looking for an experienced airport professional to play a senior role within our overall consulting team. The role will primarily involve responsibility for leading cross-functional airport due diligence projects. This will include being the main contact point for the client and overseeing the development of integrated traffic, business plan and capital expenditure forecasts.
Other elements of the role include business development responsibilities, supporting the development of individuals within the team and helping drive continuous improvement.
This role will support the firm’s current growth and to fulfil ambitions of future expansion. We are looking for motivated candidates aspiring to develop their professional careers within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Track record of outstanding delivery within the airport/aviation sector.
- Good understanding of airport traffic, business plan and technical issues (to be able to lead the project team and challenge emerging outputs, present to clients / respond to QA).
- Advanced skills in at least one of the areas above.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Superior customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to effectively lead project teams.
- Strong business development capability.
Education & professional experience
- Relevant academic qualifications.
- Relevant experience in aviation.
- Excellent written and spoken English is expected. Foreign languages will be a plus, especially Spanish and French.
- Candidates will be required to apply their technical knowledge, critical thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills as well as advise non-technical clients on technical matters.
Job location
The candidate will be based in the central London office and may be required to perform short business trips overseas to meet with clients and visit projects. Diverse project geographies dictate that sometimes working hours may need to be flexible to accommodate client time zones, e.g. when making conference calls from London.
