Head of Underwriting - UK Liability

You will manage Commercial products, oversee underwriting and pricing strategies, and ensure best practices through technical standards and controls. Your new role

You will be responsible for underwriting, pricing, and loss ratio performance, ensuring targets are met. You will handle referrals, support the Underwriting Director with data for meetings, and work with actuaries on underwriting years. Additionally, you will manage technical and pricing controls and support audits. Adherence to regulatory requirements and participation in technical training are essential.

What you’ll need to succeed

You need over 10 years of UK commercial liability underwriting experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in commercial lines underwriting. Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and implementing strategies is crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience in the MGA market, contract negotiations, data analytics, and ACII qualification.
