Im delighted to be supporting a great Client of ours, a leading homeware provider with offices in Somerset. This vacancy would be a strong match for someone who already gained some experience as a Product Manager, Product Executive, Category Manager, Category Executive or in another similar role with exposure to product management and NPD. What youll be doing The successful candidate will report into the Head of Product and they will work as a part of a larger product team. The purpose of the role is to manage product research requirements as well as product/ technical specifications. The postholder will help identifying, developing and launching new products. They will collaborate closely with the Sales team to deliver category development. Day to day tasks will include the delivery of strategic product category plans, NPD process ownership and NPD commercial validation as well as promotional product deployment. The postholder will also be responsible for in depth market knowledge of macro environment and specification, retail and export channels. What experience youll need to apply Previous experience working in a similar role with an emphasis on product management, NPD or category management. High degree of commercial aptitude; ability to analyse and review data and substantiate projects Proven track record of evaluating and developing strategic market opportunities Excellent influencing skills with the ability to present at all levels and manage external stakeholders Professional communication skills both written and verbal; numerate and literate; with exceptional levels of accuracy and a high attention to detail.
