What will you be doing in your role?

Engineer and identify improvements to the logic and processes across our group with a focus on our advertising and marketing platforms.

Deliver frequent, incremental, value-added iterations of assets across our data estate.

Allow our core systems to consume and process more information quicker, and more effectively.

Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL, stored procedures, data cubes, data integrations and data migrations.

Incorporate design, build, test and defect resolution methodology and operational documentation during the Development stage.

Work to harmonise data logic where they diverge between brands.

Provide and maintain data access tools.
We’re looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer, with experience working with large scale applications (martech or adtech would be great), large datasets and offering several years’ experience of data lake and data warehouse development and delivery.
Technically you will offer:

Deep experience and expertise in query optimization (ideally in Snowflake), designing, coding, and tuning big data processes.

Experience with modern data architectures (e.g. data lake, lake house, data mesh) and accompanying technologies (e.g. Snowflake)

Expertise with visual ETL (Matillion, or a similar technology like SSIS, Talend or Informatica)

Solid programming skills in SQL (our core language for data transformations) and Python (advantageous)

Understanding of relevant cloud technologies preferably with the AWS stack (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, ECS, Dynamo all advantageous)

Tools & methodologies such as T-SQL, star schema, Kimball methodology, Atscale (MDX)

Experience working with CICD build pipelines using Github Actions, GoCD, or similar
