The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Reporting to the Business Manager, but working closely with the Group Communications Department, develop and maintain a positive reputation for Hounslow. Also needs to work closely with key business leads and other internal departments including the Client, London Borough of Hounslow. In addition, liaising closely with Councillors, Resident Associations, Community Groups, to promote good customer care, develop, maintain and actively promote a positive service undertaken to foster a positive reputation and facilitate cultural change where necessary.
Key tasks

Ensure a consistent and timely approach to Councillor, FOI and MP correspondence by staff.

Ensures and works towards the agreed media protocol to maintain good local, regional and national media relations.

Develop and maintain the reputation by ensuring key messages are agreed, aligned and proactive campaigns are executed.

Facilitate media visits on key topics and brief/escort journalists;

Develop a range of publicity material to support understanding in the media and by the public about the contract, ensuring it is clear which organisation is responsible for what;

Ensure the website content remains relevant and updated.

Identify ideas and where appropriate, draft internal news, press releases and trade articles;

Creates interactive social media content and campaigns

Ensure any potential Crisis Communication issues are brought to the attention of the Business Manager

Be able to deliver Communications Plans for bespoke projects

Have a working knowledge of content editing, photographing and creating videos

To provide assistance with the on call media rota where necessary.

Contributes towards the Monthly, Annual and Quarterly Reports

Actively seeks out engagement opportunities

Ensures all content complies with company standards and style guides

Any other duty as prescribed by the Business Manager
Marketing

Maintain the brand collateral of the company brands at all time;

Organise photography to support marketing activity;

Attend key events identified by the Group Marketing Department or Business Manager and represent the company in a professional manner.

Ideally the candidate will possess relevant qualifications;

Minimum 3 years of writing experience and working in an external facing communications or marketing role.

Excellent communication skills with an ability to build both internal and external relationships;

Excellent written and oral communications skills;

Excellent skills in MS Office and various social media applications
