About the Role

Following the release of the ARRS GP information & funding, Alban PCN are looking to recruit a newly qualified, enthusiastic & forward-thinking GP (within 2 years of CCT date & not having held a substantive post before) to join our general practice team, on a fixed term contract until 31.03.26.

You will be required to work 6 sessions across the three surgeries within the locality. We are a very supportive PCN & will support you to work across the different surgeries by providing a Clinical Director as a mentor. This is a great opportunity to get to know our practices working across St Albans providing the successful candidate with varied experience.

  1. Parkbury House Surgery – 2.5 sessions
  2. Grange Street Surgery – 1.5 sessions
  3. Midway – 2 sessions

In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery to face, telephone and online consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

About the Candidate

The post-holder will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Responsibilities will reflect requirements of the NHS GP contracts, and as such may be subject to change as services adapt.

The post holder will be newly qualified, (within 2 years of CCT date & not having held a substantive post before).

About Us

Alban PCN is an urban PCN providing services to 45,000 patients. Our 3 practices have patients across the locality. All our practices are rated good with CQC & all are training practices. The role will require you to work at all practices as part of the practice team. Parkbury and Grange Street are within walking distance. All the practices use EMIS as their operating system.
