Responsibilities:
- Own Outcomes: Take charge of a mature project, steering product direction and priorities with a small team.
- Identify Opportunities: Spot high-value opportunities and constraints to inform cross-functional initiatives.
- Contribute to Design Systems: Enhance quality and consistency in design systems, guiding resource allocation and key decisions.
- Define Approaches: Own the solutions to complex challenges, improving user experiences with foresight and adaptability.
- Propose Alternatives: Recognise when existing solutions fall short and offer innovative alternatives.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Align resources and objectives across teams, fostering strong relationships for collaborative success.
- Mentorship: Lead and mentor UX design talent, guiding adjacent design efforts toward common goals.
- Subject Matter Expert: Provide insights into UX design principles, user-centred methodologies, and relevant processes.
- Advocate for Design: Build consensus around design strategies and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Collaboration with Engineers: Guide design specifications and negotiate design intentions for smooth implementation.
