This role will suit an experienced and ambitious senior strategist looking for the opportunity to step up and join a fast-growing team. Healthcare experience is essential and you must be well-versed in leading the strategic capability on major global business and overseeing planning across a portfolio of accounts. As well as your skills and experience weâll look closely at what you bring to the role in terms of personality and style.

Responsibilities
- Lead cross functional commercial, marketing, brand and creative strategies
- Distil complex go-to market strategies into simple, winning strategic stories
- Understand the client business from a franchise or portfolio level where required and join the dots across complex portfolio, advising client teams on big picture portfolio strategies and co-positioning
- Manage complex creative and portfolio architecture across multiple audiences, objectives and stakeholders
- Integrate equity management tools and measures into strategic brand planning and can steer brand communications to drive brand value
- Facilitate multi-team and multi-agency briefing process, leading strategic and tactical briefs across accounts
- Build, support and defend the best possible creative product through solid strategic argument
- Lead the creative validation and concept testing process without losing creative excellence, taking clients along on the creative journey
- Partner with scientific strategists, leveraging their insight and deep scientific understanding to build superior evidence-based strategy, ensuring scientific insight is pulled through into commercial and creative strategy
- Take leadership in development of omni-channel comms planning for clients
- Champion innovative channel ideas driven by insight and data, and find new creative platforms to reach customers, integrating strategy, creativity and technology
- Lead the team in data and analytics to help measure and track communications
- Manage research and insight design, translating data into compelling insight
- Lead audience interviews/surveys to extract insight
- Monitor client and competitor activity, keeping on top of market trends, M&A, new product launches, market and brand growth statistics and market financial reports as well as identifying new business opportunities to bring to the agency
- Own strategy and lead presentations in large scale pitches, client meetings and workshops
- Construct, run and moderate workshops from large to small client teams, across all strategic situations â commercial, go-to-market, creative and communications
- Work with the account team to grow existing business, with proven experience in delivering organic growth
- Line manage and mentor others in the team
- Lead the development of planning tools and defining the strategic way of working for the brand strategy team
- Actively network across the agency and the Groupe, looking to access tools and skills to bring innovation to the agency
- Play a key part of the strategic team at Saatchi Wellness, working with the Head of Strategy to set the direction and agenda for the broader cross disciplinary team
Qualifications
- Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, with a strong ability and passion to roll your sleeves up and deliver the work
- Experience of strategy/planning at a senior level within a marketing or creative agency
- Be confident leading the strategic capability on large global accounts
- Commercial experience from within the pharma/healthcare industry and/or consumer health & wellbeing experience
- Experience of senior stakeholder management and senior client management
- Mastery in a comprehensive suite of strategic tools that can be drawn on for any given challenge, constantly looking for new ways of working and thinking that will deliver innovation to the business, whilst being grounded in core brand planning capabilities
- Proven ability to work on a wide range of accounts and projects and be able to take most client requests in your stride â with a calm approach regardless of the deadline
- Complete understanding and knowledge of commercial brand strategy
- Line-management experience, and passion to support individualsâ development must be a priority
- Experience in managing brands across multiple stakeholders, understands brand lifecycles and how to evolve positioning
- Excellence in PowerPoint, and visualisation of concepts and data. Can bring to life a compelling strategic story on screen, simply, beautifully with an extremely high level of professionalism
