Job Title: PSHCE Teacher (Personal, Social, Health, and Citizenship Education) Location: Andover, Hampshire Salary: £42,000 DoE Contract Type: Full Time Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate PSHCE Teacher to join a SEND secondary school located in Andover, Hampshire. The school provides a supportive and tailored learning environment for students with a primary diagnosis of autism. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the personal, social, health, and citizenship development of our students, empowering them to become confident and responsible individuals. Key Responsibilities: – Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated PSHCE lessons that cater to the varied learning needs of students with autism. – Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that enables students to feel safe and encourages them to participate actively in their learning process. – Utilizing a range of teaching strategies and
resources, including technology, to stimulate interest and foster learning. – Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, providing feedback, and setting goals to support their ongoing development. – Working collaboratively with other teachers, specialists, and support staff to plan and implement effective cross-curricular activities. – Actively contributing to the development and review of the school’s PSHCE curriculum. – Providing guidance to students on issues related to health and wellbeing, including making healthy lifestyle choices, building relationships, and understanding their responsibilities as citizens. – Engaging with parents and carers to support students’ learning and development at home and in school. – Participating in and contributing to CPD sessions to enhance personal teaching practice and broader school improvement initiatives. – Managing classroom resources responsively and effectively, ensuring accessibility for all students. – Upholding the school’s policies
