Role: The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling shop orders through our manufacturing process, supporting on time delivery, inventory and OEE metrics. This includes the releasing and sequencing of shop orders into a production schedule, which maximises efficiencies in setup times and labour availability. The Production Planner is also responsible for creating a rolling forecast plan based on customer demand and inventory levels. Key Responsibilities: * Balances current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and sub-con capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements on time and in full. * Develops and maintains the Master Production Schedule for use in Materials Requirement Planning system to generate requirements for manufactured parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained. * Analyses data, including enterprise requirements planning (ERP) information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal execution. * Performs analysis of production trends to align planning parameters and set inventory levels to protect production against short term customer demand volatility and sustain safety stock levels. * Lead Planner-to-Planner activities in the scheduling of inter-company demand for other business units within Genuit Group. * Monitor and adapt plans as necessary, utilising recovery schedules and contingency plans to meet objectives. * Develop improvement plans if KPI targets are not met. Person Specification: * GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or equivalent * Graduate Degree in Manufacturing or Supply would be an advantage * Previous experience of production scheduling & capacity planning in a production and supply environment would be an essential. * Achieved or working towards achieving minimum CIPS level 3 Qualification would be desirable. * Good knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts and methodologies including MRP and APO would be desirable.
