Quality Officer

Quality Officer

We’re looking for a highly motivated Quality Officer to join the Quality Team at Synnovis Analytics. The role is based on the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital sites and at the Synnovis Blackfriars Hub laboratories, in the Haematology and Blood Transfusion services.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager in ensuring laboratory services meet ISO 15189 standards, MHRA requirements, and maintain UKAS accreditation.
• Assist in oversight of the laboratory services Quality Management System (QMS) and development in line with central Synnovis QMS.
• Support training of staff in QMS tasks, including internal audit, document control, and management of non-conformances.
• Use QPulse quality management database; collate data for regular reports on key quality indicators and present at governance meetings.
• Support laboratories with UKAS assessments, including preparation, follow-up on findings, and participation in assessments.

Qualifications

• HCPC State registration as a Biomedical Scientist or Clinical Scientist.
• Minimum MSc, FIBMS or equivalent experience in a similar role with experience of quality management.
• Familiarity with GMP regulations is advantageous.
• Experience with QPulse or similar quality management software is valuable.

Team and Environment

All Synnovis services use QPulse as a quality management database; experience in the use of this software will be valuable. The Synnovis Quality Team works together to constantly share learning and experience through regular group meetings or on a one-to-one basis, providing a supportive and instructive environment to develop quality management skills.
