Job description: We have an opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will work within the Control Systems group and be responsible for the car control systems and their supporting systems at trackside events. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.

What you will be doing:

  1. Preparation of the vehicle control system calibrations for trackside events.
  2. Monitoring the control systems at trackside events ensuring reliable operation.
  3. Working closely with Race and Performance Engineers to optimise control system performance.
  4. Ensuring that all control systems operations fully comply with the FIA technical regulations.
  5. Resolution of control system faults.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to degree level in an engineering subject.
  2. Experience with the management and calibration of vehicle control systems.
  3. Experience with model-based software design in a Matlab Simulink environment.
  4. Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU and associated tools.
  5. Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies.
  6. Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
  7. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
  8. Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
  9. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  10. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
