We are on the hunt for a Retail Account Executive to join our team at our HQ in central Bristol. This is a newly created exciting role due to continued growth of our retail business. The role would suit a candidate with long term ambitions to become a National Account Manager or skill up in sales and customer relationships.

The role will be supporting the team across various accounts/customers, including our grocer and foodservice accounts. There will be day to day administrative tasks associated with running the accounts and the relevant portals, as well as helping the team prepare for important customer meetings. Each day is likely to be very different, and the RAE will learn The Jolly Hog business inside out, as well as learning how the world of retail and food service works from the backend, all the way through to seeing products on shelves/on menus. The role will cover everything from data analysis to going on store visits to preparing presentations. There is great opportunity for development in this role; we are going through a big period of growth, and we will give the candidate all the tools and training to become a National Account Manager in the future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Retail portals management – promotion loading / product setups / EPOS sales analysis
  • Promotion sheet management
  • Meeting prep and deck assistance
  • Activation at retailer events. Sampling and Engagement
  • Support retailer meetings
  • Store visits to provide insights back to the team
  • Food service support

Who are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A degree in a business subject would be advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude to learn above all
  • Experience in the world of FMCG would be preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (most importantly Microsoft Excel)
  • Proactive and enthusiastic to support the team with various different tasks
  • Someone with a high level of ambition, who wants to grow and learn within a small, growing brand
  • A person who can thrive under pressure, and be able to manage time effectively to deliver quick turnaround tasks alongside longer term projects

You will have the support of a fantastic HQ team, but as we are such a small team, you will need to be comfortable working independently from the get-go. The role will be based out of our Central Bristol office Mon-Thurs, with Friday being optional WFH.
