The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

The BCSP Lead Administrator will have collective oversight and control of the administrative service, ensuring a qualitative and responsive service is maintained to support the effectiveness of the BCSP, i.e. FIT and Lynch Syndrome.

The post holder will work very closely with the Assistant Programme Manager in ensuring that all patients are assessed and listed in a timely manner with the appropriate specialist screening practitioner input., Accountable for providing an administrative service to the BCSP

Management Team to support the effective delivery of the FIT Programme

Act as first point of contact with Regional Hub (Rugby) with the recording of results and arrangement of nurse-led community clinic appointments.

Arrange colonoscopy appointments at the identified screening centres.

Maintain regular communication with Primary Care with regards to patient activity.

In conjunction with the National Team, maintain the BCSP national database.

Ensure smooth referral pathways are adhered to for patients referred to local Trusts

Maintain the BCSP surveillance waiting lists and local database.

Participate in educational/awareness sessions as identified by the BCSP.

Support the BCSP Manager/Assistant Programme Manager in the development of performance reporting to the National Screening Programme, strategic groups and the wider health community.

Responsible for the co-ordination of personnel timetables during times of annual and sick leave.

Assist the BCSP Manager/ Assistant Programme Manager in the development of robust information systems that will support the current and future needs of the Programme.

Responsible for the production of regular and ad hoc reports for both

internal and external recipients.

Represent the BCSP at meetings as appropriate.

Collate and analyse data from various sources to meet the required

reporting standards.

Ensure adequate supplies of stationery, consumables, and office equipment as appropriate.

Ensure the security, maintenance and cleanliness of office accommodation and equipment.

Carry out other duties as appropriate to the post.

Take and produce minutes from the programme meetings

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise administration team members in all aspects of their role

Review administration teamwork processes and update workloads when necessary, in consultation with the Assistant Programme Manager and Programme Manager.

Participate in regular administration team meetings to cascade information from directorate meetings.

Participate in the recruitment and selection of administration staff.

Completion of appropriate workforce systems in the absence of the Assistant Programme Manager.

Ability to make day-to-day decisions regarding the administration function in the absence of the Assistant Programme Manager.

Assist the BCSP Manager and Lead SSP with the collection and analysis of data for audit purposes.

On behalf of the whole team, ensure the national database is accurately populated with problems or errors brought to the attention of the BSCP Manager.

Ensure administration staff fully participate at all Trust mandatory training sessions and that all appraisal /PDP sessions are conducted in an effective and timely manner.

The amount of £23 (standard disclosure) or £43 (enhanced disclosure) will be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment. Bank posts require upfront payment. DBS applications submitted from 2nd December will be subject to the new DBS fee of £26.50 (standard) and £54.50 (Enhanced).
