Our client is a highly respected B2B media publisher based in London with an excellent reputation for delivering innovative and meaningful insights for their industry across magazines, exhibitions, conferences, awards, data, and digital publishing. We are working with them to find their next Deputy Editor who will work alongside an esteemed Editor on the development of one of their leading magazines in the construction sector, working across print and online. This is a hybrid role working 2 days a week in the London office and 3 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively writing and editing articles and features for the magazine as well as curating ideas for individual articles.
- Build a strong network within the sector, developing your own personal brand, and attend exhibitions to generate articles and future ideas, as well as build future contacts.
- Work with the Editor to ensure the smooth running of the magazine, including production processes, thinking about market demands, and marketing and social media requirements.
- Writing, commissioning, subbing, and proofreading articles for both print and digital.
- Help to ensure strong working relationships with key industry associations and bodies in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidate will have proven B2B experience in both print magazine and digital publishing with demonstrable editorial expertise. Confidence in working with and interviewing senior industry leaders is important, as well as the ability to build relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. Superb written and verbal communication is absolutely essential, as well as exceptional organisation, prioritisation, and project management skills.
