Retail/FMCG, Hospitality & TMT Markets – Accountancy & Finance Recruitment Specialist

My client, a multi-national advertising agency, are looking for an exceptional individual to join their Group Reporting Team playing a critical role in the delivery of monthly financial statements for corporate headquarter entities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Group Reporting Team to oversee the complete accounting process for corporate headquarter entities.
  • Managing inter-company invoicing and recharge processes across the organisation, working closely with tax, treasury, and technology teams.
  • Ensuring all relevant balance sheet reconciliations are understood, completed, and reviewed on a monthly basis, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, including tasks brought forward, to minimise the impact during each period-end.
  • Partnering with finance colleagues and key business stakeholders within the European group to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Producing period-end schedules to verify the accuracy of journal and accrual postings.
  • Overseeing the profit and loss account in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner, with the ability to explain any variances.
  • Providing variance analysis on P&L and balance sheet movements.
  • Ensuring all processes are documented and compliant with internal control standards.
  • Offering ad-hoc support to the Head of Group Reporting on projects and other deliverables.
  • Coordinating with external auditors for the filing of statutory and group accounts.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with 3+ years post-qualified experience.
  • Proven experience in a corporate headquarter function and working/developing within an international corporate environment with cross border transactions.
  • Advanced Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation.
  • Experience in a multinational environment.
  • Working with UK GAAP.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and prior versions.
  • Experience using IBM’s Cognos Controller or other recognised consolidation systems.
