The Performance Sub-Systems Project Engineer (RMO) will be responsible for delivery of the Data-Logging and Monitoring Sub-System (DLM) and Image Processing and Control, Processing Unit Sub-System (IPPU).The Opportunity:The DLM is an assembly of equipment responsible for the collection and monitoring of system operational performance. The IPPU is a single piece of equipment responsible for the processing and control of imagery captured by sensors outside the IPPU sub-system boundary. These sub-systems will be housed within other systems, so an understanding of assembly, integration, test, and certification boundaries would be desirable.Reporting into the Head of Equipment within a wider Chief Design Engineer’s organisation, this role will focus on the hardware delivery and physical certification aspects of these systems. An understanding of how functional software integrates with these hardware items would also be beneficial.ResponsibilitiesThe Performance Sub-Systems Project Engineer (RMO) will be responsible for:Delivering the DLM and IPPU sub-systems for integration into other systemsAcceptance of the physical definition of the hardwareDelivering the technical and certification documentationSupporting the functional integration of the hardware within the wider sub-system definitionWhat we’re looking forWe are seeking individuals with experience in, or the ability to demonstrate:Operating in the early lifecycle of a project to drive technical direction and clarify stakeholder needsWorking with third-party suppliers and developing technical statements of work and deliverablesDeveloping complex electrical equipment or sub-systems, ensuring the emergent design is compliant with project requirementsProactively engaging stakeholders and building strong working relationshipsLeading technical work packages alongside project managers, balancing technical risks while demonstrating progress
