We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Foodbuy Data & Analytics team at what is an exciting time of change and opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI tools such as PowerBI and QuickSight, proficiency in SQL, and hands-on experience with AWS Redshift database. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI and QuickSight to visualise key metrics and trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
- Optimise and streamline data queries and pipelines using SQL for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
- Interpret data, analyse results, and provide insights to support business objectives and initiatives
- Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity across databases and reporting platforms
Skills required:
Essential
- Previous experience of working as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role
- Proven experience in BI tools such as PowerBI and QuickSight with a strong portfolio showcasing dashboard and report development skills
- Proficiency in SQL to write complex queries for data analysis and reporting
- Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift or similar cloud-based data warehousing solutions
- Knowledge of best practice data visualisation techniques
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analysis results clearly and effectively
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Certifications in PowerBI, QuickSight, or AWS
- Prior experience in the food, retail, or procurement industries or similar
- Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with Python, R or other data science tools
