We’re looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our client’s team, an excellent local authority based in West London.

This role is responsible for leading major regeneration and housing development projects, ensuring high-quality design, sustainability, and community engagement.

Key Details:

  1. Temporary role for 9 weeks minimum
  2. Full-time, 35 hours per week
  3. Rates: £352.60 PAYE / Umbrella rate £450.00 per day

Your Role:

  1. Oversee and manage large-scale housing, community, and regeneration projects.
  2. Take projects from inception through to planning, financial appraisal, and pre-construction phases.
  3. Work with stakeholders, local communities, and elected members to ensure developments align with council priorities.
  4. Lead on development financial modelling, risk assessments, and compliance.
  5. Manage project teams, including external consultants, contractors, and legal teams.
  6. Ensure all developments meet planning, sustainability, and design excellence standards.
  7. Oversee procurement processes, ensuring best value and contract compliance.
  8. Deliver presentations and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Proven experience in development, regeneration, or property management.
  2. Strong knowledge of planning policy, housing development, and financial modelling.
  3. Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.
  5. Experience working in local government, housing associations, or real estate is desirable.
