The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice who is interested in working in Financial Services and wishes to pursue a career in Marketing.
Sat within the Asset Management side of the business, this role will be perfect for someone who is interested in learning the basics of marketing within a fast-paced Brand & Marketing function. The successful applicant will be exposed to various projects and will work closely with other teams within the business, helping to deliver against our Marketing & Business objectives.
What will you be doing?
The International Channel Marketing Apprentice will:
- Work with wider Marketing functions to ensure successful delivery of international campaigns and marketing activities (video production, budgeting, reporting, websites, social media).
- Reporting and analysis on KPIs to measure campaign results covering advertising, email marketing, videos, campaigns, social media, websites, Google Ads, and any relevant digital promotional activity associated with the channels.
- Update existing and create new materials to support campaigns, events or sales activity, working closely with the relevant teams.
- Draft and implement email campaigns to deliver top-quality digital communications to clients and the delivery of other digital initiatives like videos, landing pages, online brochures, etc.
- Support content dissemination across third-party distributors and social media profiles.
- Work closely with internal departments and external agencies to ensure deadlines are adhered to and processes are effectively followed.
- Work closely with the wider International Channel Marketing Team on the coordination, planning, and execution for global ad hoc projects.
- Update webpages for regulatory requirements, by collaborating with the Digital and Compliance teams.
- Manage the sign-off and maintenance of campaign assets via Aprimo, M&G’s digital asset management platform.
The Brand Marketing Apprentice will:
- Develop and execute brand marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, SEO, and display advertising.
- Manage and optimise brand advertising campaigns to maximise ROI and achieve KPIs.
- Manage the sign-off and maintenance of brand assets via Aprimo, M&G’s digital asset management platform.
- Support with the analysis of brand campaign performance using Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, and other relevant platforms.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in brand, marketing, and partnership activity.
- Collaborate with the Content Team to create engaging and compelling content for brand.
- Prepare regular reports on brand marketing performance and insights to present findings to management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest brand marketing trends and best practices.
What will I need to be successful in this role?
- Ability to build good relationships internally and externally.
- Creative thinker and a passion for problem-solving. Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal).
- Passionate about being in a work environment that embraces and values diversity.
- Ability to learn MS Office skills and planning tools, particularly Outlook, MS Excel, and Aprimo.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
- Available to start the apprenticeship programme in September 2025.
- You must not be enrolled in another further education programme at the beginning of the programme.
- Be a UK citizen or have proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Living in England.
- Minimum of Grade 4 in GCSE English and Mathematics.
- Minimum of Grade C in Three A Levels or equivalent such as BTEC Nationals.
Training Provided
As a Marketing Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Multi Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face-to-face inductions and masterclasses.
Future Prospects
This is a fixed-term contract for 18-23 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice’s performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
Salary
£26,000 per annum plus benefits.
