Job Title: Degree Apprentice Software Engineer
Location: New Malden

What you will be doing:
During this four-year Degree Apprenticeship you will be trained to take responsibility for the development, installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems across the business whilst ensuring the highest level of quality and service. Alongside this, you will study for a degree that will grow your knowledge and competence around the technologies used in your placements.

As an Engineering Professional you will provide technology enabled solutions to internal and/or external customers, in a range of areas including software engineering, network infrastructure and cyber security analysis. You will also enable the businesses to develop new products and services, using digital technologies.

Export Control / Security:
Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements:
5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subject.
A minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 point old system)(excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) achieved from either:
- A levels at grade C or above (or equivalent). One subject must be Maths and one subject must be in Engineering, Science or a Technical subject.
- A STEM based L3 Extended BTEC Diploma (which meets the required UCAS points) or equivalent.
