We uniquely combine our proprietary longitudinal market data, consumer insights and AI-enhanced data science, with valuable on-the-ground human intelligence in 160 markets worldwide, to decipher what is really happening in the global beverage alcohol market. With access to our data, clients from across the drinks industry, including multinational spirits, beer, and wine businesses; packaging and ingredient manufacturers; distributors; and financial institutions, plan their strategies and future investment with a reliable, consistent and complete understanding of the global landscape.
Role Overview:
The IWSR Consumer Data Team is the heart of the IWSR Group’s world-leading consumer behaviour and attitude insights offering. In 2024, this team was responsible for designing, collecting and analysing over 250,000 interviews about consumer drinking habits in around 34 consumption markets around the world.
The more senior members of the team work directly with clients on major tracking projects, and the most senior person on the team, the Head of Consumer Data, also attends Sales Team meetings and helps structure proposals from a research design and fieldwork costs point of view.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Research Analyst to join our Consumer Data Team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for understanding consumer behaviour and delivering actionable insights within the global beverage alcohol industry. Detail orientation and demonstrable commitment to excellence are essential, and while existing skills are of course very welcome, successful candidates in this role in the past who are now at more senior levels within the business did not necessarily arrive with all the toolkit.

- Supporting the quantitative Research Managers in questionnaire design, programming, testing and quality-checking of international online surveys in our Forsta platform.
- Conducting desk research to support quantitative insights and inform tracking data.
- Assisting in the fieldwork management and liaison with external respondent / quantitative providers.
- Delivering actionable insights through the creation of data tables, databases and dashboards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively support and prioritise multiple research cycles throughout the year.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of market and/or social research, ideally supported by advanced degree-level education in related social sciences.
- Strong capability with Microsoft Excel, and ideally exposure and proficiency with VBA.
- Ability to interpret data using statistical tools; a familiarity with data tabulation software is a strong advantage e.g. Q research, SPSS, SQL, SAS.
- Ability to multitask across several research cycles whilst handling simultaneous deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate successfully across teams.
- Familiarity with survey scripting tools – ideally Decipher – but any XML based survey software considered.
- Knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript.
- Detail orientation.
Benefits : In addition to a competitive salary, IWSR offers
- Generous time off: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and a company-wide end-of-year break.
- Flexible work environment: Hybrid working model with flexible hours.
- Comprehensive perks: Annual bonus scheme, pension, regular social events, birthday treats, and a volunteering policy.
