Role: Infrastructure Engineer – Azure

Location: London, minimum expectation of one day per week in the office.

Role Mission:

Reporting to the Cloud Infrastructure Manager and as a member of the fast-paced Infrastructure team, broad responsibilities include the implementation and operation of all production and non-production environments. This includes Public (Azure/GCP/AWS) and Private cloud infrastructure and supporting technologies and participation in team shift patterns to cover 7am to 7pm and an out of hours on-call rota.

Bringing at least 5 years of relevant experience to this role, you can expect to be involved with migrating and maintaining cloud-based solutions in an environment that has a strong focus on reliability, security and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work within the Infrastructure Operations global team to deliver a global follow-the-sun 2/3rd tier support service.
  2. Day to day operations and maintenance of both public and private cloud environments (VMWare, Azure).
  3. Support and maintenance of Infrastructure within internally hosted platforms and other cloud hosted services, supporting CUBE services (VMWare, Linux, Windows, SQL, AD, SAN’s, Backups etc).
  4. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure security.
  5. Raising, designing, and implementing recommendations for improvements to internal/public cloud environments.

What we’re looking for:

  1. Experience with public & private cloud experience – Azure a must.
  2. Knowledge of Elastic Search.
  3. Experience with Infrastructure Automation IaC – Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates.
  4. Ansible.
  5. Experience of general infrastructure in medium/large scale enterprise environments delivering developed and hosted apps to global customers.
  6. Proven knowledge of Linux and Windows server operating systems, patching and malware solutions.
  7. Knowledge of scripting and automation technologies and platforms.
  8. Management and maintenance of Active Directory and O365 Security.
  9. Strong Virtual Networking, VMware, Virtual Machine Administration, vCenter Administration.
  10. Good understanding of Physical Network Topologies, Routing, vLAN’s, Firewalling.
  11. Full UK driving license and car with the ability to attend data centers in Newport, Wales and Farnborough, Surrey within 2 hours.
