The Senior Project Manager – Cyber Security is responsible for overseeing and managing cyber security projects to ensure the protection of an organisation\’s information systems and data. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

As Senior Project Manager , you will lead the delivery of programmes of change from initiation through to service transition, matrix managing all project resources and managing relationships/deliverables with third party providers and internal stakeholders.

You will also support the Programme Manager in the delivery of the overall portfolio, including scoping, definition, and management of resources across the team.

Your responsibilities are to include:

  1. Project Planning and Initiation : Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  2. Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including technical teams, executive management, and external vendors.
  3. Risk Management : Identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO, and other relevant frameworks.
  4. Project Execution : Oversee the execution of cybersecurity projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with technical teams to implement security measures.
  5. Monitoring and Reporting : Track project progress and performance. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and report on project milestones, issues, and risks.
  6. Team Leadership : Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication. Provide technical supervision and guidance as needed.
  7. Vendor Management : Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. Ensure that all external contributions align with project goals and security requirements.

Skills and experience needed:

  1. Education : Further education college/university, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  2. Certifications : PMP, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
  3. Experience : Proven experience in project management, particularly in cybersecurity projects. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
  4. Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
