The School of Technical, Construction and Motor Vehicle at Carshalton College are seeking a Construction Lecturer with skills in more than one trade someone to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. This role plays a fundamental role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development
You will deliver teaching and assessment activities within the area of Construction including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practical activities and field work. You will select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students., The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees physical and mental health. We re looking for someone who has recent experience of teaching Construction in an FE College with interdisciplinary skills and demonstrable working experience. You will hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have an advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills.
Able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both group and interpersonal situations with effective presentation, delivery and time management skills for a variety of audiences. You will be committed to valuing equality and diversity and to the provision of a quality service and the implementation of quality improvements.
