As we scale our proprietary IP and bespoke solutions, we are looking for a Technical Artist to bridge the gap between art and technology, ensuring our immersive experiences are both visually stunning and technically optimized.
Role Overview
As a Technical Artist, you will work at the intersection of art, design, and engineering, developing optimized real-time 3D assets, shaders, and pipeline tools for LBVR experiences. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless performance, interactivity, and high visual fidelity across multiple VR platforms, primarily in Unity.
Core Requirements:
- A good understanding of rendering pipelines (understand how an object is rendered)
- A good understanding of art pipelines (understand the needs of artists)
- Experience creating “next-gen” 3D assets from concept to in-game asset
- Good understanding of asset optimisation for mobile / VR pipeline
- Basic coding knowledge (C++ or C#)
- Ability to write shaders, either using a node-based editor or code (hlsl, glsl, cg)
Bonus Skills
- Experience with lighting, post-processing, and VFX for immersive environments.
- Knowledge of PBR workflows and texture optimization (Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce).
