We’re hiring a Trending Lifestyle Editor to join a leading London-based digital media company on a 12-month fixed-term contract . This role offers hybrid working (1 day per week in the London office) with remote flexibility.
The Role:
As a Trending Lifestyle Editor , you’ll be at the heart of celebrity culture and lifestyle trends , covering everything from red carpet moments to viral fashion moments and pop culture discourse . You’ll work closely with entertainment and commerce teams , shaping high-impact, engaging content that stands out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay on top of showbiz lifestyle trends , covering everything from BAFTAs & Met Gala to celebrity social media moments .
- Provide insight and context to trends, featuring expert commentary where relevant.
- Write original, compelling content that enhances the publication’s voice and audience reach .
- Work across multiple formats , including social video and affiliate content where relevant.
- Collaborate with editors, entertainment, and commerce teams to drive engagement and innovation .
- Use SEO and audience insights to shape content strategies.
About You:
- 3+ years’ experience in digital journalism, with strong CMS skills.
- A deep passion for celebrity culture, fashion, and entertainment trends .
- Strong story-sourcing & interviewing skills, with media law awareness.
- Experience working with data, video, and affiliate content .
- A track record of innovation in digital media, willing to challenge convention.
- NCTJ qualification (or equivalent) is a plus.
- A flexible, collaborative mindset with a keen eye for emerging trends .
