Our client, a leading data centre consultancy, is seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to join their team on a contract basis. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data centre infrastructure and drive excellence in design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of state-of-the-art data centre solutions.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of design projects.
3. Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
4. Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and capacity planning to support project requirements.
5. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior designers and team members.
6. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform design decisions.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Design Lead or similar role in the data centre industry.
2. Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security.
3. Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
5. Relevant certifications such as LEED, Uptime Institute, or Data Centre Design (DCD) are a plus.
