The project:
Supporting an ongoing multi-£m data centre build you will work within the consulting team providing strategic cost management services to the client.

Client focus – Deliver on our promise:
You will support cost planning including ownership of and presenting cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders.
You will support the procurement process, ensuring stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
You will support the delivery of cost management services to deliver key strategic outcomes and KPIs, directly influencing strategic development of plans.
Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.
Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.

Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
Previous experience working within data centre projects
JCT form of contract experience essential with some knowledge of NEC.
Cost planning, budgeting and estimating experience.
A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent.
