Location: Hybrid between Mayfair, London office and remote working

JOB ROLE

Working at LK Bennett is more than just a job; it’s a way of life and being our Senior Accountant means you will be at the forefront of our luxury business. You will be a critical link between finance and the business and need to be a good communicator who endeavours to understand the entire business, not just the finance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GROUP

• Support the finance team on daily and monthly tasks
• Support the year end group audit liaising with the company’s auditors
• Assist with year end reporting within the agreed timetable
• Be responsible for the coordination and completion of National Statistics

UK

• Supporting daily sales and weekly reporting
• Preparation of VAT returns – UK, Ireland, Jersey
• Oversee Assistant Management Accountant, mentor and support the team
• Ensure all bank recs and balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month.
• Ensure debtors and creditors procedures are adequate and followed, with prompt action on any overdue/error accounts
• Assisting with any ad hoc queries/requests

OVERSEAS

• Working with the overseas company accountants to deal with any queries and ensure monthly accounts posted
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate where appropriate.
• Oversee Assistant Management Accountant and reporting data

MONTH END REPORTING

• Full responsibility for month end – inclusive of P&L’s, cash flow and balance sheet
• Ensure all BS recs are reconciled, and schedules prepared for FD review
• Review journals for posting
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register

WHO YOU ARE

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified with relevant PQE
• Results and standards orientated
• Plans and organises effectively
• Proactive and willing to learn
• High levels of accuracy
• Works well under pressure
• Gives clear direction and guidelines
• Experience of running a finance department
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially with people from non-financial backgrounds
• Commercially astute
