Job Description
Wavestone UK are seeking to hire a Business Advisory Banking Partner.
Becoming part of the Business Advisory FS team will present new opportunities for you to make a positive impact as we embark on securing major international accounts to support our growth in international markets. This will mean working with our FTSE100 clients on a wide range of advisory projects, bringing deep business and technology expertise to help address opportunities and challenges across their organisations.
Your role as a Partner with extensive experience working in the Banking field means being a key player to lead and drive the development of the Financial Services practice in terms of:
- Industry Knowledge and Experience : Demonstrate in-depth expertise in the Financial Services sector to support the development of service propositions, drive sales, and ensure successful project delivery. Partners must also possess a strong knowledge of key industry players, products, processes and systems.
- Business Development : Play a pivotal role in Wavestone’s business by driving complex business proposals and contributing significantly to account growth. Leverage market insights and experience to identify and target key opportunities and clients.
- Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level key clients in the banking and technology sector to position Wavestone as the preferred provider of relevant services.
- Engagement Leadership : Oversee our most complex client projects to deliver maximum value for the client across the Wealth & Asset Management or Banking sectors.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role:
- Solid foundations in consulting skills with significant experience in external client-facing consulting or equivalent roles within the banking sector .
- Proven track record of selling consulting services (account planning, pitching to clients, proposals, value proposition development).
- Solid network of contacts within Financial Services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization, experience in managing and leading teams , developing and coaching the wider consulting team.
- Proven background leading Transformation Programmes and strong acumen enhancing advisory credibility .
Comprehensive knowledge on the following topics in the Banking arena:
- M&A support and execution within the sector;
- High street banks, i.e. Barclays, HSBC, LBG, NatWest and Santander;
- Operational improvement, deployments of automation and AI, outsourcing and off-shoring;
- End to end lifecycle of technology vendor strategy through to implementation, in particular core banking solutions;
- Data strategy, operating model development and implementation within the sector.
