Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to onboard and partner with top UK wholesalers, caterers, food distributors, and retailer chain stores such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, and Aldi.
- Identify and approach potential customers in various settings (e.g., retail stores, national wholesale markets, events, trade shows, etc.).
- Utilise a strategic approach to target high-potential clients and sectors.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
- Monitor and adjust tactics to meet and exceed goals.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Handle customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and provide feedback to the organisation on market trends, customer needs, and sales performance.
Qualifications:
- Professional sales or business development experience of at least 5 years, preferably in the B2B, Spitalfields Market, wholesale or retail space.
- A strong network within the Fresh Produce markets such as Spitalfields Market is a huge plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Negotiating and sales experience with chain stores and wholesalers is a huge plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with strong time management and organisational skills.
