We are looking for a Principal Commissioning Engineer. This role will initially be on rotation in Norway followed by a UK offshore rotation for the hook-up.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide commissioning expertise for named project. Deputy to Commissioning Lead (as required).
  • Demonstrate HSE Leadership.
  • Ensure that health, safety and environmental (HSE) aspects are thoroughly assessed, planned, implemented and followed up for all commissioning project activities.
  • Good knowledge and application of PEM for commissioning work scope in the project.
  • Support Commissioning Lead with planning, preparation, organization and execution of commissioning activities in the project.
  • Define clear system limits (LOSH) and boundary drawings.
  • Lead commissioning tasks within the project to ensure timely delivery.
  • Establish project philosophies and strategies for commissioning and implement them in the early design to facilitate execution of completion.
  • Establish governing documents, procedures and work instructions as required for commissioning in the project.
  • Work closely with Completions to define ITRs on appropriate completions tool i.e. GOC, MIPS etc.
  • Review and ensure that SAT, FAT and commissioning procedures are of good quality and Independent Verifying Body requirements are met.
  • Provide input to MPP to define appropriate organization with sufficient manpower for commissioning activities on FATs and site execution.
  • Ensure clear interfaces with all disciplines, suppliers and subcontractors for commissioning scope of work.
  • Monitoring and reporting of budget, progress and quality of commissioning activities.
  • Participate in risk management.

  • Able to demonstrate extensive onshore and offshore commissioning experience (minimum 10 years experience).
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of verbal and writing English.
  • Solution oriented with ability to balance strategic and hands-on approach.
  • Independent with the ability to initiate action and influence stakeholders.
  • Exceptional team leader.
  • Ability to strive with a “bold can-do-attitude.”
