Allen & York are excited to be working with a pioneering, diverse, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy with offices across the UK.
Our client is looking for an innovative Consultant/Senior Ecologist to join the Ecology Team, working from the Bristol office. You will be working on a wide variety of projects across a range of sectors including Residential Development, Mineral Extraction, Energy Generation, Leisure and Healthcare.
You will need to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology or equivalent with solid experience in a similar consultancy role. You’ll be able to demonstrate your field experience with a range of habitats and protected species, together with good field recording skills and the ability to analyse data. An excellent communicator, you’ll be skilled in producing clear and concise technical reports with a sound understanding of current guidance, UK standards, planning policy and laws. With strong interpersonal skills, you’ll have a positive and enthusiastic approach to your own development and the wider team’s.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence for this role.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and a protected species class/survey licence(s) would be advantageous to this role, as would experience of QGIS and project management.
