THE BUSINESS
Our client is a Leeds headquartered, well established, technology backed business, which is operating in a fast growing sector. It has turnover in the many hundreds of millions of pounds, is seen as a leader in its sector, and has been involved in high profile operations in the past few years. The business is now looking to hire additional in house legal counsel.
THE ROLE
Joining a sizeable legal team, you will undertake a diverse and interesting role, drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of B2B and B2C contracts. These might be high value and complex (bespoke commercial agreements such as negotiating and advising on complex and high value supplier contracts, IT and software agreements, distribution agreements and service contracts), or more run of the mill work on lower value terms and conditions, or NDAs. In short, an interesting and varied in house role, where no two days are the same. You’ll work within the larger legal team and alongside other commercial lawyers, so you’ll benefit from support and guidance, but be encouraged to take on complex work where appropriate.
ABOUT YOU
The legal team is sizeable and as such offers support and continuing career development to lawyers at the early stages of their career. You’ll probably have at least 1-3 years PQE to have the experience required, and commercial contracts experience is sought after. However, if you have experience from a different area of law (corporate, commercial litigation, corporate recovery etc.) and are passionate about a move in house, then I’d like to discuss further with you. This is an opportunity to move to an interesting and growing business and take on a diverse in house counsel role.
If you’re interested in this role, please apply now or forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us.
