Responsibilities:
- Internal support desk – escalation support
- Mentor and support the Senior Network Support Engineer
- Network architecture & delivery
- 50/50 core networking focus, 80/20 customer-facing
- Interest in cybersecurity is a bonus – helping develop new service offerings
- Some exposure to AWS/Azure cloud and infrastructure (HP Servers, VMware, Wintel)
Requirements:
- ISP experience preferred
- JNCIP-level knowledge (certification a bonus but not essential)
- Ideally based in the North UK (Birmingham/Manchester area)
Tech Stack:
- Juniper core – L2/L3 VPNs
- Fortinet Firewalls (advantageous)
- MikroTik, FireBrick
- Will consider a Cisco ASR Network Engineer
Location:
- Flexible remote working
- Occasional meetups in Manchester (2x per year)
