We are seeking a print designer to join our team in Preston, Lancashire. You will play a key part in the growth of our design ranges and team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in print design for fashion, ideally sportswear. You will have worked with Adobe software, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop with AVA skills as a bonus. You will combine your creative skills with a commercial mind to ensure the business continues to push the boundaries and excel within the gymnastics world. You will collaborate with the on-site factory manager and production team and work closely with the sales team to ensure business needs are met.Key ResponsibilitiesPrint creation for gymnastics leotards working with customer briefsGrading of print designs for ordersColour matching – AVA/pantone matching/matching to garmentsConverting old files from Illustrator/Photoshop into AVA (training can be provided)Creating customer drawingsCreating production ready artwork from customer drawingsAssisting the design team where necessary with the creation of diamante/spangledesigns and grading to size (training will be given)Grading of diamante designs where necessary to assist the team (training will be provided)Setting up files for heat press designsWorking closely with the factory and factory manager to ensure design samplesshow creativity whilst retaining a commercial mindsetCollaborate with other departments within the business to ensure its smooth runningSending orders to printWorking with the team to manage print samplesWorking at fast pace to identify future trends and materials and keeping up to date with FIG ruling and demand for Gymnastics apparelEnsuring designs are fit for functionDocumenting products using detailed specifications (Microsoft Excel)Ordering and checking in samplesReviewing samples prior to dispatchDesired skills and QualificationsEducated to degree level within a design discipline1+ years proven experience within a similar rolePrint design experienceProficient in Adobe creative suite, specifically Illustrator/PhotoshopStrong organisational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects simultaneouslyBe adaptive to changing prioritiesStrong attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentCreative thinkerCalm under pressureSelf-motivatedGood team playerAVA CAD CAMGarment construction knowledge including fit and functionExperience of working with stretch fabricsThere will be a requirement for occasional travel to other businesses within the UK for meetings during working hours and an occasional need to attend competitions/events outside of set hours with time in lieu givenCompany BenefitsAn inclusive and supportive work culture that values creativity and innovation.Working closely with British GymnasticsOn site parking
