Join a Leading London Market Reserving TeamAre you an actuarial professional with a few years of reserving experience, ready to expand your expertise in the insurance industry? A prominent London Market insurer is seeking a skilled Reserving & Projects Analyst to join their established team in London. This role combines technical reserving, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project work across Lloyd’s, US, and European operations.What You’ll DoCalculate and Present: Compute specific group reinsurance covers and share results with key stakeholders, working closely with claims, underwriting, and finance teams to ensure accurate data reconciliation.Analyze and Report: Construct loss development triangles for annual reporting, conduct quarterly reserving across various business classes, and perform in-depth analyses to support valuation assumptions.Contribute to Projects: Support key actuarial projects, such as inflation and business planning analyses, and assist in group-wide strategic initiatives.Innovate and Improve: Enhance reserving methodologies, maintain thorough documentation, and keep up with industry best practices and regulatory changes.Collaborate: Foster strong partnerships with Finance, Data Management, Claims, and Underwriting teams to deliver robust valuation outputs and communicate reserve uncertainty effectively.Who We’re Looking ForEducation: A degree in Mathematics or a related field, with progress toward an actuarial qualification with the IFoAExperience: 2–3 years of reserving experience, preferably with knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and reinsurance concepts.Skills:Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with ResQ software is a plus, as are skills in VBA, SQL, Python, R, or Power BI.Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging diverse stakeholders.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines while working independently or collaboratively.Mindset: Self-driven, solution-focused, and professional, with a commitment to integrity, reliability, and continuous learning.This role offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive, experienced team, tackling diverse and impactful projects.
