Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Commodity Risk Specialist (Sales) to join our team. The role involves identifying and generating new leads, making outbound calls to potential clients, and scheduling meetings for our trading team. Strong communication skills, persistence, and a drive to meet sales targets are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients through various sources like online platforms, social media, and referrals.
  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective clients, introducing the company’s hedging and risk management solutions through derivatives.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs, purchasing habits, and suitability for our services.
  • Handle follow-ups with interested leads, nurturing relationships to guide them through the sales process.
  • Schedule meetings, product demonstrations, or calls between qualified leads and the trading team.
  • Keep comprehensive records of interactions, calls, and appointments in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure outreach efforts align with company objectives.
  • Provide valuable insights on market trends, client feedback, and areas for improvement.
  • Attend industry events to network and generate new leads for the company.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, cold calling, or telemarketing .
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills, with a talent for building rapport over the phone.
  • Resilience: Able to handle rejections and objections with a positive, persistent approach.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while achieving performance goals with little supervision.
  • Knowledge of financial derivatives (futures and options) and ideally an understanding of metals related to the London Metal Exchange. (Desirable)
  • An understanding of the metals procurement process or Forex, Fintech Markets within various industry sectors. (Desirable)
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and lead generation platforms.
