Overview: To support the Director of Operations and Purchasing Manager in the strategic purchasing and procurement activity across generic products.

Key Objectives:

To deliver cost effective, timely and value-added purchasing to all internal customers and will manage all aspects of procurement within the supply chain in a professional and ethical manner, looking at continuous improvement and cost reductions, * Manage all aspect of international sourcing

  • Manage all aspects of range reviews for products, working to support the sales team ensuring all KVI’s are in stock and priced accordingly. Supporting the product development team with relevant data. Sourcing new products and removing/delisting as appropriate.

  • Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, and maximize vendor support, ensure agreed contractual terms are in place with suppliers.

  • Management of supplier performance.

  • Support the sales team with working on tenders, and presenting to customers where required.

  • Identify and deliver new initiatives to improve efficiency, cost savings and develop strategies with the objective of reducing supply chain costs.

  • Collaborating with suppliers to develop supplier strategy.

  • Management of procurement processes.

  • Management of supplier relationships, and attending supplier meeting

  • Attending relevant industry events and reporting on packaging legislation changes in the marketplace.

  • Communicate on new innovations in packaging marketplace.

  • Ensure the management of stock data is accurate and up to date, managing forecasts with all parties.

  • Collaborating with all internally parties regarding the inventory of all products

  • Working with the team to achieve KPIs and targets in a number of areas including supply chain management.

  • Management and development of supply chain team, developing best practice within the team.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating effectively to achieve business goals.

  • Undertake end-to-end procurement activity, from procurement plan/strategy formation through to contract execution.

  • Take a key role in the design, implementation and delivery of New Product Development projects, sourcing product solutions for customers.

  • Ability to digest and process vast amounts of information to make sound commercial decisions.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel

· Ability to prioritize a frequently changing workload.

· Highly organised and able to work well under pressure.

· Good Attention to detail and accuracy

· Self-motivated and result-driven individual

· Level temperament under pressure.

· Ability to Communicate well.

  • Private medical insurance, The role is 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday with a half hour unpaid break, 37.5 hrs per week. The salary is between £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
